Um. Oops...inventory shortage on Hand of Asgard
over 2 years ago – Mon, Aug 09, 2021 at 10:07:17 AM

I just ran out of Hand of Asgard. I did not see that coming. I usually assume that I've over-ordered my inventory from here to Niflheim and I will never run out.

Anyway, getting more is not a big deal, but will put a crimp in some orders for 9-14 days. I'm going to do a reorder of Nordlondr Folk while I'm at it, because I look to be getting a wee bit low on that one too.

So sorry for the delay...but it feels GOOD to sell out of something.

Domestic Shipping Update
over 2 years ago – Mon, Aug 09, 2021 at 10:07:05 AM

As of tomorrow, all of the maps, and any domestic orders that didn't include Hand of Asgard (and five that did, as it happens in the order that they pledged to the campaign) will go into the mail.

That leaves the international folks plus those awaiting the reorder of Hand of Asgard, which should arrive in about a week or so.

Time to get serious about the international orders, then!

Korg: "The pre-order store is closed; the revolution has begun"
over 2 years ago – Thu, Aug 05, 2021 at 02:43:06 PM

I have closed the pre-order store.

I am printing labels and beginning domestic shipping.

I am using passive voice and my inner editor is screaming.

Pre-orders closing Thursday morning
over 2 years ago – Wed, Aug 04, 2021 at 10:26:11 AM

The Delvers to Grow Kickstarter produced six fantastic books. A Core book that helps you make Dungeon Fantasy RPG characters in mere minutes, three example books filled with inspiration, some new content, quirks to steal, and advice on playing your archetype, and a fantastic adventure geared to 125-point characters for the Dungeon Fantasy RPG.

Delvers brings support for 62, 125, and 187-point player characters, and does so with a very, very newcomer-friendly modular build system. A competent character can be created in moments, even with someone who has never RPG'd before.

But the campaign is coming to a close now. As noted in another thread, the final books are arriving on my doorstep around lunchtime, at about noon. Tonight and tomorrow I will start physical fulfillment ... which means it's time to print labels and start shipping books.

THAT means it's time to lock pre-orders ... but I want to give folks this day to sneak in any last-minute book-grabs.

Delvers to Grow is possibly the best on-ramp to introducing folks to GURPS that has been formally produced. It makes character generation TFT-fast, or "First level D&D" fast, using mostly natural language concepts that are evocative enough to not need a lot of mechanical explanation. Even if you're a GURPS expert ... this is the tool to get your friends in on the system with minimal fuss. I have a Patreon subscriber and playtester who is now more than a month into running pick-up games at his Favorite Game Store, where folks with no RPG or GURPS experience walk up to his table, create a character right there, and start playing. Most return. Some leave with boxed sets.

Again: this is the easiest, fastest, most understandable on-ramp to Powered by GURPS and the Dungeon Fantasy RPG that is available.

If you're not on board yet, you've got about a day to change your mind!

DriveThruRPG: Log in FIRST
over 2 years ago – Mon, Aug 02, 2021 at 01:18:42 AM

I've gotten a few emails about this, and I contacted DriveThru:

There's an issue with clicking on a link sent by the complimentary copy tool getting the following response:

I'm told that this is a known issue, that DTRPG Tech is working on it ... but the known fix is that you need to log into your DriveThruRPG account first, and then click the coupon code.

This was dropped in as a comment to a prior update, but not everyone reads everything (nor necessarily should they), so I wanted to bring this right up front to y'all.
